WASHINGTON: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha met with US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell in Washington on Friday.

The two discussed ways of strengthening the partnership between the Kingdom and the US in the digital economy sector.

The meeting was part of Al-Swaha’s visit to the US that is intended to strengthen relations and support the growth of Saudi’s digital economy. 

The visit includes meetings in several states with leaders of major tech companies to boost technology investments, stimulate venture capital, support entrepreneurship, and create cooperation opportunities among private sector companies.

Zelensky renews long-range arms call after attack

  Officials say two missiles struck Vilniansk, leaving large craters and killing seven Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has renewed his appeal for more long-range weapons and air defences after a missile attack killed seven people including two children. The Russian attack on the town of Vilniansk, near the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, also injured 31 others, Ukrainian officials said. In total, at least 11 civilians were killed and a further 37 wounded in missile attacks across Ukraine on Saturday, Reuters reported. "Our cities and communities suffer daily from such Russian strikes," Mr Zelensky wrote in a post on Telegram.
